The Hartwell Lake Properties annual "HLP Charity Yard Sale" raised funds in December, 2006, for the Haven of Rest Ministries in Anderson, SC, and the Lavonia Food Pantry in Georgia. HLP employees begin organizing the yard sale in the summer. Instead of exchanging gifts at Christmas, they instead donate items and money to the fundraiser. Mike Gray, Broker-in-Charge, matches the funds raised by employees and the yard sale. The 2006 total was $4,600.
